If you want to spruce up your garden add some variety to those plain old garden pots then consider adding a garden theme to your outdoor decor.
A theme in your garden can help to not only spruce up your garden but it can get you excited to visit the garden and get to work on pruning and re-arranging all your plants.
Gardening has always been a work in progress, but it is not always easy to stay on top of it, and before you know it you have weeds growing all over the place. If you let these things get out of control they will take over your garden and cause more work for you in the end.
So the easiest solution is to do a little bit each and every day, or every other day! So let’s get excited about gardening again with some great tips to keep that garden an attractive and happy place to hang out it.
Setting up a themed garden
Creating a theme in your garden is easy and it is just like decorating indoors, only you are working with outdoor materials.
The only real difference is that you need to select items that are weather resistant and that can stand rain and sleet or whatever bad weather outdoor furniture faces.
The first step to take is to consider what kind of theme you want in your backyard. Here some fun ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
An outdoor beach decor garden
Have you ever dreamed of living by the beach? Think about setting up a cool beach themed garden. You could create or buy some seashell garden planters. To make them, all you need are some seashells, some hot glue and old garden pots to start.
Glue your shells onto your garden pot, starting at the top and work your way down. It is easy, cheap and a fund project your whole family can participate in.
Display your garden pots all around your garden. Another way to do this is to simply glue a single shell, either large or small to your pot. The shell will look pretty all by itself and it creates an instantly striking garden pot.
Make some cute seashell plant markers! To do this get some seashells, popsicle sticks and your handy glue gun again. Glue the seashells to your sticks and you have an instant plant marker! You can write on the back of them easily and you will be able to remember the names of your plants, no more guessing.
Tea party Themed Garden
This can be fun! Get some cute teacup or teapot planters and arrange them either on a garden bench, or an outdoor patio table. They make cute centerpieces so they will blend in well on the table.
Get a few old plates and arrange them around your table. On your plates you can sit small terracotta planters filled with succulents or cute small plants inside. It will look like the plants are on the menu!
This is so cute and very eye catching.
